The Jordanian Conservative Party will hold its founding conference today, Saturday, at the Palace of Culture in Al Hussein Youth City. Invitations have been distributed to a wide range of popular figures, political forces, and civil society organizations. After the opening session, the party will proceed to approve its constitution and elect the National Council and the president and members of the Central Party Court.
The opening session of the conference will be followed by a meeting of the party’s National Council to elect the members of the Political Bureau and the Permanent Bureau of the National Council, followed by the election of the party’s secretary-general by the Political Bureau.
The Conservative Party is considered a centrist party that leans to the right on issues of security, defense, sovereignty, and resistance to displacement and resettlement, and to the center on issues of economy, education, and health.
The party is committed to the constants of Jordanian national identity and adopts a national ideology based on belief in the constants of the state, its sovereignty and independence, and the role of its institutions, rejecting the policy of expansion, displacement, and settlement adopted by the extreme Zionist right by all democratic means. It adopts clear programs in economics, health, education, and social services that include work mechanisms and implementable timetables.
